Facing the Music


There's a new theme in eClips called Face the Music - Challenges in the Music and Entertainment Industries

The theme features relevent content from two entrepreneurs in the Music and Entertainment Industry: Danny Stein and Adrian Sexton.

Danny Stein is President of JDS Capital, an investment firm based in New York that invests in private, public and distressed debt and equity. He is also CEO of Dimensional Associates, the operating company that manages the private equity investments made by JDS. Dimensional owns a variety of digital media assets including eMusic, The Orchard and a music publishing arm that owns over 10,000 songs.

Adrian Sexton is a founding partner of TAG Strategic, a digital media and entertainment solutions firm. Previously, Sexton was the Vice President of Digital Media at Lions Gate Entertainment, a producer of motion picture, television and other filmed entertainment content worldwide. Sexton oversaw the day-to-day production, operations, programming, media planning and business development for all of Lionsgate's online and mobile properties including such titles as American Psycho, Academy Award winner Monster's Ball, Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, the interactive Clio-awarded Saw, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Academy Award-winning Crash, Saw II and Quentin Tarantino's Hostel.

Both entrepreneurs discuss the impact of recent tecnological changes on the music industry and the industry's slow response to these new threats.
